Laura Hitchcock, Principal, brings a deep and abiding commitment to public service, starting from a family of public educators. This commitment guided her international work as a legal advocate and US Peace Corps Volunteer, US-based policy leadership roles, and as strategic partner for nonprofit leaders. She has been executive director for four nonprofit organizations and consulted with scores more. She is a successful team leader, fundraiser, and strategic visionary.
She remains dedicated to using the synthesis of her skills - deep capacity for analysis, policy and systems understanding, executive management, and human leadership - to facilitate powerful partnerships, build stronger organizations, and advance evidence-based approaches that serve the public good. Hitchcock holds a BA from Pomona College and a JD from the University of Oregon School of Law. She loves nature photography, music, and travel, and enjoys spending time with her husband Jan Glick, author of Nonprofit Turnaround, and Gen Z adult offspring and their four-legged companions.

Our Values & Experience
Woman-owned and progressively-centered.
We believe that nonprofit organizations/NGOs are the backbone of our community response to inequitable, unjust and antiquated political and economic systems.
Dynamic and fun leaders who enjoy supporting executives.
We find that human-focused leaders are increasingly asked to do more with less, which goes against their personal ethical leadership compass. Inevitably, the clash between personal values and client and community crises creates burnout and grief. That’s why we support leaders in their demanding, draining and absolutely critical roles in their communities by helping you to find joy and wins in your work.
Trained in facilitative leadership and interim executive leadership.
We apply these skills through guided coaching sessions, by helping you to step back and take a look at the bigger picture of your funding environment and how you can succeed, or in providing direct interim executive leadership to your organization. Certified by Third Sector Company in interim executive leadership, and Institute of Cultural Affairs.
Leveraging our over 30 years of nonprofit and public sector experience in best practices.
Our lessons from over 100 client engagements with organizations of all sizes are brought to you. Most organizations struggle, and you deserve to benefit from the lessons of others.
